Death Of Wolverine: 10 Far Better Ways He Should've Died
4. Unique Illness
Imagine if there were some kind of targeted super-flu that manages to infect Wolverine due to his healing factor and begins killing him (only him, however, we're not talking the infamous Legacy virus that afflicted all mutants). He is running out of time, has to do everything he ever planned to do now that he's on a timetable, and Marvel could have the comics engage in something clever like having each issue of the comic represent a day in his shortly-concluding life. It would be dramatic, tragic, and make for a nail-biting read. Plus, if Marvel made it so that this imaginary disease only could hurt characters with a healingfactor, they could throw Deadpool into the mix for the story and have some of the comic focus on him managing to survive, but with it being too late for Wolverine. That would be a touching way to end this imaginary event, considering how Deadpool and Wolverine have had a love-hate relationship at various points. Plus, Marvel milks Deadpool for all he's worth so putting him and Wolverine together in a comic is generally a license to print money. Everybody wins!
