Frank Miller: Ranking His Comics From Worst To Best
14. Elektra Lives Again (1990)
The deadly assassin Elektra Natchios is one of Miller's best-loved creations. Introduced as a love interest for Matt Murdock during the writer's early-'80s Daredevil run, the agile Elektra was murdered by Bullseye at the end of the multi-issue arc. As is usually the case with comics though, it wasn't long before Elektra popped back up. Published by the Marvel imprint Epic Comics, 1990's Elektra Lives Again is standard Miller fare. Drawn and inked by the author, Elektra seemingly wanders out of death in the fashion you'd expect - cutting and slicing anyone in her path in incredibly violent, graphic detail. The writing is on the abstract side, but it never reaches the dreamlike heights of Miller's earlier work with the character. Still, Lives Again displays Miller's passionate connection with the characters he creates.
