Harleen: Everything You Need To Know About DC's New Harley Quinn Comic
3. It's A Part Of DC Black Label
It seems that DC is going all in on their new rating system and their Black Label is shaping up to be the home of the more violent and adult orientated comics. It already has Batman: Damned and Last Knight On Earth as well as Superman: Year One under its umbrella, and 'Harleen' is another that will join the fold.
With AT&T taking the ax to nearly every element of Time Warner following their merger it's pretty clear that the death of Vertigo leaves Black Label as the only place to go to get the more mature comics you crave, and though it's a tragedy that one of the greatest branches of DC has been put out to pasture at least they seem to have a contingency plan. At least for now.
Being on the Black Label also means that 'Harleen' will have a wider scope when it needs to be brutal, and considering how the relationship between Harley and the Joker is never the easiest of things it will allow the story to unfold more naturally than if they watered it down.
