When John Romita, Sr. got involved in drawing Spider-Man back in 1966, he made a few alterations to the character's costume, which ultimately stuck for longer than any other on this list.

Romita removed the webbing under the arms, tightened up the coloring, and established a classic look for Spidey that would remain, off and on, for decades.
