Spider-Man: 10 Ways Miles Morales Is Eclipsing Peter Parker

9. He Has A Clean Slate, Story-Wise

Spider-Man Miles Morales
Marvel Comics

With Miles, his family and Ganke being thrust so suddenly into Earth-616 after the events of Secret Wars, a lot of old stories or problems have been trimmed away. Since their insertion into this universe has been relatively seamless (so far), Miles has somewhat of a fresh start in these pages.

As Peter is spending so much of his time away from New York these days, there's a veritable feast of content and conflict that Spider-Man's team can draw on as they throw this young hero into the fray. We already know that members of Peter Parker's rogues gallery will be making appearances in Miles' life, and it's going to be exciting to see how he deals with them given the nuanced differences in his personality.

But even with what we don't already know, it's still intriguing to wonder where Bendis is planning on taking Miles now. While many other Marvel books are currently jumping from event to event without much room for lasting progression, Miles' story still feels like one which is always building consistently. The clean slate is absolutely great for this, and whatever the future holds is sure to be brilliant.
