Venom: 8 Most Powerful Symbiotes

3. Venom

Venom Planet of Symbiotes
Marvel Comics / Ryan Stegman

The first and most famous of the symbiotes, the one and only Venom...just barely scratches the top three. (Though with recent developments, that might just change.)

Venom is the first symbiote we were ever made aware of, originally meant as an explanation for where the black suit came from. Venom is a symbiote that - originally - slowly corrupted the host with the power it provided. it was even able to slowly make Spider-Man less of a hero both in and out of the suit.

But the thing about symbiosis is that that stuff goes both ways. So while Eddie Brock was a pretty bad dude for the longest time, he has recently turned over a new leaf and started using the Venom symbiote for good.

Since its first introduction to humanity was Spider-Man, Venom permanently has all of Spider-Man's powers, but heavily enhanced through its natural abilities as a symbiote. On top of all of that, Venom has recently become the new King in Black, granting him near god-like powers and command of a legion of space-demons.
