What Happened To Everyone Who Joined The Fantastic Four?

7. Sharon Ventura - Fantastic Four #306-379 (1987-1993)

She-Hulk Fantastic Four World's Greatest Heroes
Marvel Comics

After Sharon Ventura had her body augmented by the Power Broker, she was endowed with superstrength, allowing her to become the new Ms. Marvel. After forming a bond with the Thing, Ventura was welcomed into the Fantastic Four. Shortly after, she and Thing were bombarded by cosmic rays, exasperating Thing's mutation and causing her to change into a rocky monster called She-Thing.

Even though her transformation amplified her strength exponentially, she refused to accept her appearance and sank into depression. When Doctor Doom offered to cure her if she spied on the Fantastic Four, she reluctantly agreed.

When the scarred dictator confronted his rivals and ordered Ventura to turn against them, she refused, admitting to Ben that she had been working with their arch-enemy. Even though Ventura learned the error of her ways, Ben shunned her, ashamed that she voluntarily allied with the Fantastic Four's greatest enemy.

Because Ventura betrayed Doom, he reversed his cure on her, causing her to transmogrify into a creature far more hideous than She-Thing. Reed Richards placed her in stasis until he found a cure, abruptly ending her period on the team.
