What Happened To Everyone Who Killed Spider-Man?

8. Kulan Gath

Ultimate Spider-Man Death
Marvel Comics

Time and time again, Spider-Man has found himself being on the end of all kinds of threats based around his demise. It's standard fare to see Bad Guy A spout some line about bad intentions, only to then be left embarrassed at the hands of Peter Parker.

The thing is, Uncanny X-Men #191 saw the hugely powerful Kulan Gath get a little fed up of making chit-chat, and so the Wall-crawler was killed off in clinical fashion.

A supremely able sorcerer, Kulan Gath had turned Manhattan into a medieval chamber of terrors here. Along to help Xavier's band of merry mutants, we have our beloved Spidey - although Peter ends up being used as a most extreme example of Gath's abilities.

With a swanky magical amulet in his possession, the villain tortures and torments Spider-Man before literally crucifying him and finally putting him out of his misery.

Thankfully for Web-head, this whole gruesome scenario ends up erased out of existence when Doctor Strange and Illyana Rasputin get together to reverse time. Even better for Spider-Man, Strange and Illyana's timey-wimey shenanigans means that all memories of Kulan Gath's murder of Peter no longer exist.
