10 2017 Horror Movies To Sate Your Bloodlust Until Halloween
8. The Belko Experiment
Created by something of a genre dream team, The Belko Experiment's premise is simple: a large group of employees are trapped in their office building and forced to fight to the death by a sinister, omniscient voice on the intercom system.
While on the surface this may seem like a retread of classics such as Battle Royale and The Hunger Games, the talent involved here is undoubtedly what's destined to set the film apart.
Penned by cult-favourite writer-director James Gunn (Slither, Super, Guardians of the Galaxy) and directed by Wolf Creek's Greg McLean, the film will likely contain clever, subversive social commentary, disturbing wince-inducing moments and a drop of black comedy for equal measure.
Released in the UK on 21st April 2017, The Belko Experiment is a must for fans of either Gunn, McLean or the horror the genre at large.
