The Buzz: While there are always going to be those who view a "live-action" remake of The Lion King as sacrilege, people pretty much said the same thing about 2016's The Jungle Book, which ultimately scored a mighty 95%.

Given that The Jungle Book's Jon Favreau is returning to tackle this, arguably Disney's most beloved animation, there's every reason to be hopeful that it's a faithful and enormously heartfelt update.

While Tim Burton's Dumbo, with its clear changes to the source material and blatant CGI backdrops, will likely skew a little more mixed with critics, The Lion King's teaser trailer makes a convincing case that it's going to offer up peerless animation and soul-stirring voice work.

Could that result in the new movie topping even the original's 93% Tomatometer? Just maybe.
