10 "Final" Entries In Movie Franchises (That Totally Weren't)

6. Children Of The Corn II: The Final Sacrifice

It's always unlikely that a second film is going to be the last one in a horror franchise, so maybe it was silly to believe the title The Final Sacrifice.

However, in the case of Children Of The Corn, it was believable. The first film was based on a short story by Stephen King, it did moderately well, and it wasn't a shock that producers would try to squeeze just a few more bucks out of the name recognition.

Boy, did they play that card too early! Since The Final Sacrifice, there have been eight more Children Of The Corn movies, with the last one released less than a year ago. The series actually lasted long enough that the child antagonist of the first film, Isaac, returned to the series as an adult many entries later, and there was no time jump necessary.
