10 90’s Movies You Forgot Were Totally Awesome

3. Richie Rich

I am almost entirely sure that Richie Rich was such a popular film in the 90€™s because it was literally every child's dream to have their own McDonalds in their house. Besides, who needs friends when you have money? The film follows some deeper, more meaningful story, but mainly it was simply brilliant because, as children, we got to imagine everything we could have if we could simply be born into a billionaire family. This movie made us dream of things we wanted that we didn't even know existed, and you could spend hours coming up with all the different things that you would have done if you found yourself fortunately in Richie's position. Despite hitting the box office first, Richie Rich gained its most revenue from being a VHS smash, gaining $125 million from video sales. The question however still remains; if your billionaire parents went missing, you had your trusty butler, and their business empire was left entirely to yourself, would you take it as a sign you simply could not ignore, and just become the next Batman?
