10 90’s Movies You Forgot Were Totally Awesome

4. Baseketball

After its American release in 1998, Baseketball was cursed to live out the rest of it€™s days as one of the most underrated comedies of the 90€™s. It never received anything other than a video release in the UK but steadily grew an extremely loyal cult following, due to the infamousy of its two main characters; played by South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone threw a lot of their very own South Park style humour into the mix, despite the film being written by Naked Gun director David Zucker, who invented the sport a few years prior to writing the script. Coop (Parker) and Remer (Stone) decide that they are sick of modern day sports and create a game of their own. The reason that Baseketball is so great is due to the pure genius combination of Parker, Stone and Zucker, who all have their individual flare added to the films comedic style, creating a synergy that was probably destined since the dawn of man. To put it simply, Baseketball is comedy gold. Baseketball quickly became a comedy classic, and fans of South Park can still be counted on to quote its most memorable lines and spread the word of the its existence.
