Somebody somewhere thought it would be a good idea to let Owen Wilson play Bob Ross, and that someone was Owen Wilson.

The voice of Lightning McQueen (and some other stuff too) donned the biggest fake perm he could find and picked up a brush to star in Paint, a film about a fictional character named Carl Nargle, clearly inspired by The Joy of Painting figure.

This baffling production stops being interesting as soon as you get over the fact that the "wow" guy is playing the "happy little tree" guy, and it was received by viewers in a very un-Bob Ross manner.

Wilson's other big payday this year came from Disney, when he starred in the Haunted Mansion remake. The only scary thing about this venture was just how uninspired the whole thing was; it wasn't frightening, and it wasn't very funny.

What's that? Wilson also had a small cameo in another big blockbuster?

Oh, it was Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Never mind.
