4. Gas Haven, Morocco - The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
The abandoned Gas Haven is arguably more eerie now than when it was initially constructed for the 2006 remake of Wes Craven's 1977 film of the same name. Film quality aside, this isolated petrol station is found in the desert of Ouarzazate, Morocco.
There's practically no difference with the set as it stands now as it appeared in the film. Promising to be the last stop for two hundred miles, Gas Haven lures in tourists just as easily as it lured in Doug and his family as victims for the family of mutants in Alexandra Aje's remake.
A small selection of kitschy American goods, no doubt well beyond sell-by dates litters the store shelves, giving the whole place a "frozen in time" feel.
If you're a horror fan, getting to set foot on the same grounds that saw Fred send many a family to their doom via a "short-cut" is assuredly something to add to your bucket list.
