2. "It Never Rains But It Pours" - Gone In 60 Seconds
This might not sound all that bad out of context, but trust me - it's just about the most abysmal slice of dialogue ever committed to the big screen, in the sense that it's a) entirely out of place, given what's happening in the scene and b) it make no sense. The guy that gets to deliver this little gem in the movie is Christopher Eccleston, a British crime boss who wants to nab the Raine Brothers, as played by Nicolas Cage and Giovanni Ribisi. Whilst on the phone, Eccleston's character - Ray Calitri - tells one of his subordinates that "One Raines is as good as another," before adding "It never rains but it pours" onto the end of his sentence. Then he hangs up, having dropped what we can only presume is supposed to be a one-liner. What does that mean? What is he talking about? I'm convinced that, having said it on a spur of the moment, Calitri shook his head and thought about how dumb he was afterwards for a couple of hours. Totally unwarranted in every way,
