10. Bruce Willis
At 57, Bruce Willis might not yet be retirement age but he certainly is getting that way. Willis is synonymous with action films, and has been an iconic figure in the genre ever since 1988's seminal Die Hard almost single-handidly birthed a genre. Die Hard proved to be the first of what proved to be a series of action films starring famed New York City detective John McClane. Other actioners followed for Willis with the likes of Last Man Standing, Armageddon, Sin City and most recently The Expendables series, but the hard man has mellowed with age in recent times and has branched out into comedies such as Lay The Favourite and action/comedy Red. However, news that the Die Hard series was about to be resurrected jarred with me. Really? Did nobody learn anything from the ill fated Rocky 6? Willis is simply just too old to play McClane these days, and I just can't take him seriously as an action hero in 2013, unless it is a tongue in cheek.
