9. Mel Gibson

Better known for the Mad Max and Lethal Weapon series of films, Mel Gibson also starred in 1995's Braveheart as legendary Scottish folk hero William Wallace. He later starred in The Patriot and Signs and an absence from the silver screen followed in 2004 when he turned his hand at directing films such as The Passion Of The Christ and Apocalypto. But he returned in an acting capacity six years later in The Edge of Darkness and Get The Gringo. He has even been penciled in for Robert Rodriguez' upcoming action film Machete Kills, set to be released this September. In 2014, he will also star in The Drowner, of which very little is known of. At 57 though, he should just stick to directing.
