8. Mickey Rourke

You can tell by Mickey Rourke's face that he used to be an amateur boxer. He made his acting debut in in 1979's 1941, if that makes sense, before appearing in Rumble Fish and Barfly, a biopic of the life and times of author Charles Bukowski. After appearing in slashers and comedies, he made his action debut in 1985's Year of the Dragon and after a long period of obscurity returned as Marv in Sin City before making arguably one of his nest acting performances as Randy "The Ram" Robinson in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler. Since then he has starred in both of the Expendables films, and will reprise his role as Marv in the Sin City sequel A Dame To Kill For later this year. At 60, however, his beaten and battered body from his amateur boxing days could prohibit him from starring in too many more films such as these.
