10 Actors That You Never Knew Produced Horror Movies

George Clooney has produced some unexpected movies in his career including Rock Star and Rumour Has It..., but two of his most random productions were through his production company with director Steven Soderbergh, Section Eight Productions.

The first is the 2005 asylum horror film The Jacket starring Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley (which was also executive produced by NBA team Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban) and then the 2007 survival thriller Wind Chill starring Emily Blunt. Wind Chill was directed by Gregory Jacobs, who has worked continuously with Soderbergh as an assistant director and producer since Soderbergh's 1993 movie King Of The Hill.

Clooney and Soderbergh also produced Jacobs' 2004 directorial debut, Criminal.

Neither movie was successful with critics and audiences. In particular, Wind Chill grossed less than $300,000 worldwide and went direct-to-video in most territories. Clooney and Soderbergh ended up dissolving Section Eight just two years later. While both are still producing movies, they have each since stayed out of the horror business.
