Keira Knightley is the charming actress who has starred in some of the best dramas in cinema, including Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina and The Duchess. Knightley first appeared on audience's screens in the biggest films of the early 2000s with a small role in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and larger roles in Love Actually and Pirates of the Caribbean. However, as time has gone on, Knightley has been stuck typecast.

Her filmography is dominated by period pieces, in which she plays the classical heroine. Knightley has not strayed far from her iconic corsets. Knightley has said herself that she has been drawn to classical dramas but has not had many opportunities to showcase her range as an actress outside of her typecasting.

The Exception - Domino

Despite being overall slated by critics, Domino offered up Keira Knightley's most diverse role. The loosely based true story of model turned bounty hunter, Domino Harvey, allowed her to explore a darker, more contemporary character. It was a huge far cry from her typical role but got lost in its poor direction and screenplay.

If you have clicked on here, get ready to be bored. I'm just a 20 year old white male who has a (probably) unhealthy obsession with pop culture Film and TV. Handy in a trivia game but not much else. My parents were never murdered, I'm not avenging my dead wife. Just plain, old sat at a computer with a head full of knowledge I mostly don't use I was born and raised in the Black Country near Birmingham, England however am now living in Manchester, England after I moved here two years ago. I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
