10 Actors Who Apologised For Their Behaviour In Major Movies

1. Christian Bale (Terminator Salvation)

One of the strangest movie news stories of the century was that time when we all heard a recording of Christian Bale yelling his face off like a madman on the set of 2009's Terminator Salvation.

The origin of the famous rant was a confrontation between Bale and director of photography Shane Hurlbut, with the actor growing frustrated at Hurlbut's tendency to move around in the background of a scene. Plenty of f-bombs were dropped. Threats of violence were made. Memes were created.

It was clearly an extremely heated moment between two collaborators on a film set, and it really should've been kept private. Unfortunately for Bale though, it wasn't, and he found himself having to publicly apologise for something that he likely assumed would've been handled behind closed doors.

The former Batman expressed regret over his actions on numerous occasions, apologising on a radio show in February 2009, and then again (and again) throughout the movie's press tour in May of that year. "I was out of order beyond belief" he said. “I acted like a punk. I make no excuses for it. It is inexcusable."

Holy bad publicity, Batman!
