10 Actors Who Are UNRECOGNISABLE In Upcoming Horror Movies

Ryan Coogler's period vampire flick Sinners looks like an absolute blast, and among the ensemble cast is a talented actor who many expected to become Hollywood's Next Big Thing about a decade ago: Jack O'Connell.

After back-to-back high-profile roles in the 2014 films Starred Up, '71, and Unbroken, O'Connell's momentum unexpectedly dried up, though he's next set to have a major role in Sinners as the vampiric antagonist Remmick. However, it's a testament to what contact lenses, a splash of fake blood, and an accent can do, because the glimpses of a post-feed Remmick barely look like O'Connell at all, and it's easier to believe we're looking at Scoot McNairy, honestly. Nobody could blame you for making that mistake.

All the same, the trailer suggests that O'Connell is going to give one hell of an intense performance here and, fingers crossed, enjoy another hot streak which he so clearly deserves. Hopefully, everyone will just remember that it's Jack O'Connell they're looking at here.
