10 Actors Who Could Be The Batman We Deserve
6. Colin Farrell
Batman v Superman almost happened in the early 2000s when Warner Bros hired Wolfgang Petersen to make it a reality. Back then, an actor was shortlisted for the role of the Dark Knight, and it's somebody the studio should reconsider.
Colin Farrell is a stronger choice for the next Bruce Wayne now than he ever was back then. He has a diverse body of Hollywood work under his belt and has finally perfected an American accent. At 41, he's the right age to play a battle-scarred version of the Caped Crusader, not dissimilar to Batfleck.
Farrell put in a solid performance as Graves in 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, proving he's comfortable in blockbuster territory, and this was a character who spent the duration of the film pretending to be somebody else, a tenuous but significant common thread with Batman.
The Irish actor fits the bill from a physical standpoint and is no stranger to playing characters with a modicum of darkness in them, something he could call upon if he was to inherit the cape and cowl.
