10 Actors Who Could Play Nathan Drake In The Uncharted Movie

1. Dan Stevens

Anyone who's seen The Guest will know that Dan Stevens could play Nathan Drake without trouble.

His character in that movie, David, knew his way around a gun, could talk his way out of any situation, was incredibly smart, and proved a hit with the ladies. Drake and David don't look all that different either, which displays Stevens' commitment to his craft; before The Guest, he was a slightly plump, pale, British aristocrat in Downton Abbey, and his transformation into a tanned, buff, American action star was nothing short of astounding.

He's done hard-hitting drama in A Walk Among The Tombstones opposite Liam Neeson, family-friendly comedy in Night At The Museum 3, and will soon be flexing his blockbuster chops on a grand scale in Beauty And The Beast. He's an experienced actor with bags of range and the ability - and willingness - to transform himself, almost unrecognisably, for a part. What's not to like?

He's the right age too (34), and because he's not the biggest, busiest movie star around, has plenty of room on his schedule to accommodate a franchise. He'd surely deliver us a well-rounded Nathan Drake, and if he landed the part, the Uncharted movie would be off to a great start.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
