It might seem odd to suggest Netflix's most popular gloomy superhero to play Nathan Drake in a light-hearted action romp, but grittiness isn't the only string on Charlie Cox's bow.

In 2007, he starred in Matthew Vaughn's family-friendly fantasy adventure Stardust, almost the complete polar opposite of Daredevil and a movie that finely displayed Cox's ability to successfully lead and sell a movie that contains more than a few ridiculous concepts. Incidentally, his character in Stardust was also hunting for a lost treasure (in this case, a star), something that Nathan Drake is more than familiar with.

Daredevil has proven he can work well in that classic superhero framework - the good guy versus the evil villain, the witty sidekick, the love interest - and that's not a million miles away from every single Uncharted game to date. And unlike Miles Teller, Cox would almost certainly win that Nathan Drake lookalike contest if he just topped up his tan a little and strapped on the gun holster.

Daredevil: Season Three and The Defenders could cause some scheduling conflicts if Uncharted continues to move along at a brisk pace, but if a deal can be made, Charlie Cox would be a worthy addition to the movie.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
