10 Actors Who Could Play Nathan Drake In The Uncharted Movie

5. Luke Evans

Uncharted Bradley Cooper
New Line Cinema

Luke Evans, like the aforementioned Armie Hammer, is that one guy who's consistently reliable yet always goes unappreciated. Even when the movie isn't great - Dracula Untold, The Girl On The Train - he brings the goods, and he's a regular, standout supporting player.

And unfortunately, he doesn't yet have a truly definitive leading role under his belt, but he very much deserves one. Dracula Untold didn't really work, but the actor managed to imbue his role with relatability and heart, despite the fantastical concept being as unrelatable as it gets.

Uncharted isn't all that fantastical, but it must have heart. Later games revealed Drake to have a rather tragic childhood, and for this payoff to work, the first movie must get us on-board with the character from the get-go.

And Evans excels here. He can take what may be a potentially one-note character - Vlad The Impaler, Bard from the last two Hobbit movies - and make us care about their plight. Nathan Drake could come across as excessively arrogant if done wrong, but Evans could give him a bit more depth.

And this, combined with his looks and the charm he's displayed in everything from Tamara Drewe to even Fast and Furious 6, gives the actor everything that's needed to make Nathan Drake a success.
