10 Actors Who Just Appeared In Their Worst Movie
4. Ariana DeBose - Kraven the Hunter
If you needed any further proof that the "post-Oscar curse" is a real thing, look no further than Ariana DeBose.
DeBose won a well-deserved Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance as Anita in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story remake barely three years ago, and her career since has largely been littered with dud after dud after dud.
The most egregious examples include Wish (48%), House of Spoils (40%), Argylle (33%), Love Hurts (18%), and her most high-profile flop - last year's superhero disaster Kraven the Hunter, which landed just 15% critical approval.
None of these flops are DeBose's fault, leading many to suggest she's desperately in need of a new agent.
As for Kraven in particular, she's handed a flavourless female lead which squanders her charisma from start to finish, just as it does almost everyone else in the central cast.
DeBose at least has a promising project on the horizon, as she's next set to star in a King Lear adaptation alongside Al Pacino and Jessica Chastain.
