10 Actors Who Legitimately Hurt Their Co-Stars On Movie Sets

Though the majority of actor injuries suffered at the hands of their co-stars tend to come during the middle of a fight scene or highly physical stunts, there are the odd one of two which literally arrive out of nowhere.

On the surface, performing a strip tease in front of your on-screen love interest doesn't seem like the sort of situation which could see the person admiring the view left reeling on the floor. If anything, the person performing said display would surely be most likely to go down injured via over-excited slip or trip.

However, when Gerard Butler was tasked with getting his kit off in front of Hilary Swank in P.S. I Love You (2007) he only went and accidentally cut the Academy Award winner open after one of his suspender clips suddenly hit her in the face.

Filming then had to be halted for five days while the star had her head stitched back together and recovered.

Swank quickly forgave the Scottish actor for this freak incident and later told the Daily Record, "I did a whole boxing movie (Million Dollar Baby) and my face was virtually unscathed. Then I do a romantic comedy and end up with stitches in my forehead."
