Sure, nothing's perfect. Yes, Daniel Radcliffe actually has blue eyes and the production team gave up on trying to make Emma Watson look homely about halfway through the second film. But these are minor quibbles, and the fact of the matter is that back in 2000, when Warner Brothers released the first stills of the soon-to-be famous trio, most of us Harry Potter fans stood in awe of the casting department. They had accomplished the impossible: finding three child actors who more or less exactly captured the characters that all of us had been picturing in our heads. The fact that they then kept these kids on for eight films spanning across ten years, something unheard of in the film industry, is just really kind of magical.
