Particularly when it comes to the world of larger than life superheroes throwing literal moons and cosmic weapons at one another in battles over the fate of the universe, it's become a rather unsettling given that the various stars bringing these characters to life must possess rather ridiculously shredded physiques.

But in a sea of god-like torsos and Super Soldier Serum-induced muscles, one actor is putting his foot down in the lead-up to throwing on a rather famous cape and cowl.

When talking to GQ about his preparation for the role of Gotham's Dark Knight in the upcoming The Batman feature, Robert Pattinson explained when talking about his fellow actors getting inhumanly hench, “I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem. You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the ’70s. Even James Dean—he wasn’t exactly ripped.”

On top of this, during a discussion with his co-star Zoë Kravitz, who herself had been putting in some serious work in the gym, Bruce Wayne himself admitted, “Literally, I’m just barely doing anything."

So, don't expect to see this Bat taking part in a mid-movie training montage any time soon.
