10 Actors Who Refused To Change Their Bodies For Movie Roles

Though Kirsten Dunst had definitely already appeared in her fair share of high profile features before agreeing to star in Sam Raimi's game-changing Spider-Man series, it's hard to look past the role of Mary Jane Watson as the one that made her something of a household name, in hindsight.

From the star's crackling chemistry with Toby Maguire's Peter Parker, to the warm smile that ensured the actor became just about every youngster's big screen crush for a spell, Dunst captured the essence of Spidey's soul mate perfectly.

However, not everyone felt that that the star's aforementioned natural smile was up to scratch for that of a Hollywood leading lady. As Dunst recounted later down the road, one particular producer on the film did their best to subtly convince the actor to have some work done on her teeth. In response to being nudged towards getting what she described as "Barbie doll teeth", Dunst had an emphatic answer: "Nope. Not doing that,".

Regardless of the fact that there's very obviously nothing wrong with the screen veteran's gnashers, trying to steer someone towards making such a drastic physical change simply to play a movie character is just plain weird.
