10 Actors Who Should Never Be Allowed To Work Again

5. Gerard Butler

Since his breakout in Joel Schumacher's dismal The Phantom of the Opera adaptation and his starmaking turn in Zack Snyder's hilariously bad 300, Gerard Butler has continued to plague the cinema screen in a variety of forms. He's been the handsome love interest in things such as PS I Love You, The Bounty Hunter and Playing for Keeps, and the action hero in Gamer and Law Abiding Citizen. He's even played the witty and superficial gangster in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla. Essentially, he's made a career out of appearing in awful movies, and the only reason he does appear to have a career is because of his rough good looks. After appearing in recent flops such as Machine Gun Preacher, Movie 43, Playing for Keeps and Chasing Mavericks, Butler's days on the A-list could be numbered as without his ability to sell tickets he is nothing. It's not that Gerard Butler is a reprehensible human being who stars in truly hateful movies, it's just clearly apparent that acting was not the profession he was born to do.
