10 Actors Who Should Never Be Allowed To Work Again

4. Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry is the highest paid male entertainer in the world. He has earned in excess of $100 million per annum and this is usually a cause for celebration, but not with Perry who has yet to direct, write or star in a single movie that couldn't be considered awful. He is most well-known for appearing in drag as Madea and the character has grossed him hundreds of millions of dollars. Perry is far less popular in the UK than he is in his homeland and his films receive minimal exposure in comparison. Perry has tried to explore himself outside of his usual fare as his role as the title character in Alex Cross saw him try and forge a career as an action star - only the movie bombed, raising questions about Perry's star power outside of the Madea character. Perry has received much criticism throughout his career, with a fair portion of it from his peers. Acclaimed and revolutionary director Spike Lee and star of The Wire and one of Perry's own films (Daddy's Little Girls), Idris Elba have slammed Perry's buffoonish portrayal of black people in his films, showing it's not just the critics that can't abide them. Perry as a writer-director is one thing, but one would hope he had the nouse to realise he has literally no acting talent and if he is to be in the film business, it should be behind the camera and not in front of it, in drag, acting a fool.
