After the success of Deadpool in 2016, the Merc with the Mouth returned just two years later, and everything was bigger. Not only did audiences see the big-screen debuts of Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz), Wade put together an entire X-Force team just dripping with awesome cameo appearances.

The likes of Bill Skarsgård and Terry Crews played their part as Zeitgeist and Bedlam, respectively, but obviously the best moment came with the reveal of the Vanisher. The joke was that no one could see or hear him, so the fact that he was a real person at all would have been funny enough, but to have him played by Brad Pitt? Perfect.

According to Deadpool 2 director David Leitch, Pitt was in the running for Cable before Josh Brolin was cast, though realistically his incredibly busy schedule would have never allowed such a role. Instead, he played the Vanisher essentially for a laugh.

All the Hollywood legend asked for in return was a single cup of coffee, which was his way of saying he was happy to do it for nothing.
