10 Actors Who Wanted To Quit Huge Movie Franchises

6. Al Pacino - The Godfather

Considering Al Pacino went on to be nominated for two Oscars for his legendary performance in The Godfather series, it's insane to think about the fact that he almost quit during the filming of the first film for feeling like he wasn't good enough.

Pacino went as far to say that the production crew wanted to fire him in the first few weeks of filming, citing an unfriendly atmosphere on set and feeling unwanted by everyone involved. He felt as if his scenes were being watched back by the crew with distaste, and if it wasn't for the support of Francis Ford Coppola himself, he would have stopped showing up.

Pacino is still very humble about his overwhelming personal presence in the film, claiming that the overall quality and direction of the film - especially in the restaurant scene - was why they kept him on for the remainder of filming.

Chances are I’m watching a movie or replaying Mass Effect rather than doing anything productive.
