1. Seymour Parrish - Robin Williams (One Hour Photo)
Granted, Robin Williams had already shown the world his creepier side in Christopher Nolan's
Insomnia earlier in the same year, but it wasn't until
One Hour Photo that everybody realised that there was another angle to Robin Williams that they hadn't really seen: that of the weird, obsessive delinquent who works at the photo developing clinic and, uh, stalks your family via your shots. It's a chilling concept, and one that could have been derailed entirely had Williams failed to strike the right note. Thankfully (is that the right word?) he pulled it off in droves, and nobody has ever looked at him in the same way since. It's a long way from Mork, that's for sure.
