10 Actors Who Were Cut Out Of Movies For Ridiculous Reasons

8. Liam Neeson - The Hangover Part II

You may remember the controversy surrounding Mel Gibson€™s planned cameo in The Hangover Part II, where he was set to play a crazy tattoo artist. Unfortunately, for Mel, a number of the cast and crew (apparently Zach Galifianakis was the key figure) were unhappy about this and refused to work with him. Liam Neeson was brought on instead and completed his work within a day. Getting a big name star to make a little cameo is a big coup, but after filming the director decided the scene should be reshot, and since Neeson wasn€™t available he was replaced with Nick Cassavetes, best known for directing The Notebook. Replacing an iconic actor with a relatively unknown one is a strange decision, and the fact Neeson€™s version of the scene wasn€™t even released on DVD is even stranger.
