10 Actors Who Were Injured In Dumb Ways On Set

3. Halle Berry

JinxFilm: Die Another Day (2002) Halle Berry will forever hold a place in the heart of horny teenagers and dirty old men for her portrayal of Jinx in the final Bond film of the Pierce Brosnan era, Die Another Day. The scene in which she emerges out of the water in her skimpy orange bikini was sure to have been the direct cause of a number of wrist injuries, Berry herself was not safe from harm during production. Of course, the Bond series is known for its action-packed explosions and martial arts, where helicopters fall out of the sky, and fires are set by laser beams. So, it not be an unfathomable notion that Berry would suffer some injuries during the filming, especially due to her track record of receiving pretty serious knocks on the sets of Gothika, Catwoman, Cloud Atlas and The Call. So, would she be injured by her high-impact sword fight with Rosamund Pike, her fall when escaping the gene therapy clinic, or maybe even the rough love making scene with Bond himself? Well, she would suffer due to fragments of a smoke grenade getting into her eye, but her most life-threatening moment of production occurred during the sex scene with Bond. If you have as strong a memory and as f ertile an Internet history as mine, you will recall that the scene was exceptionally frantic. But the actual cause of her peril was less memorable, as during the scene the two eat figs, and in one take she choked on the fruit, requiring her co-star to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre. Now, not only was this a sure-fire way of killing the mood, but it would be a particularly innocuous way to expire considering the really cool ways one could perish during a Bond film. I would also like to add that I hope that the fact that Berry choked on figs hasn't spoiled any expectations or fantasies that anybody may have had following the film.
