4. Ben Stiller
Film: Along Came Polly (2004) Though Michael Sheen being bullied by an animal was quite an amusing tale, at least he was being attacked one bigger than him so you can understand it, but Ben Stiller should hang his head in shame for this next entry. The prolific comedy actor has appeared in multiple box office smashes in his career, and has had to work with numerous animals in this time, from the wily cat Jinx in Meet the Parents, to the mischievous monkey Dexter in Night at the Museum. But will stick in his mind for all the wrong reasons. Along Came Polly was a harmless romantic comedy where Stiller was playing Reubens, a recently single man who began dating this kooky free-spirited woman Polly, played by Jennifer Aniston. The film was a financial successful despite being panned by critics, but for Aniston it has become a state of normality. But the negative ratings will not of hurt Stiller as much as scenes alongside Polly's pet ferret, Rodolfo. Probably angered by being given a silly name in a film that was sure to be poorly reviewed, Rodolfo would look to take its frustrations out on the lead actor in a bid to stop production indefinitely. And to prove the severity of its intent, instead of going for the classic finger, it waited until Stiller was holding it in the air, turned around and made a bee-line for his chin. Now Stiller doesn't have the most pronounced chin, and if this was Jim Carrey it would have been more of a serious issue. But it took a little bit of swinging his head from side to side to get the ferret to let go and Stiller had to receive a rabies shot just to be safe. But he wasn't afforded a chin guard as they felt it wouldn't fit into the story. Ferrets are apparently in the top ten of most popular pets in American households, although I am sure I can name one household in which they are not.
