10 Actors Who Will Definitely Ruin Upcoming Movies

2. Chris Pratt - Mario

Back in September, Nintendo announced the main voice cast for their upcoming Mario movie being produced by Despicable Me outfit Illumination, and the Internet promptly lost their s**t.

The most objectionable announcement by far was Chris Pratt being cast to play Mario, a majorly head-scratching choice which felt less like picking the best actor for the gig than finding someone with the most broad, unremarkable voice possible to sell across a wide spate of demographics.

Many felt that the part was destined to go to long-serving Mario voice actor Charles Martinet, but instead casting someone as vanilla as Pratt, who is neither Italian nor sounds anything like the video game Mario, is so silly it feels like an actual joke.

Producer Chris Meledandri has since confirmed that Pratt will indeed not be doing the "Mario voice," and while the rest of the cast makes more sense - especially Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser - having Pratt's voice front-and-center could ruin the whole thing.
