10 Actors Whose Career Has BOMBED After Their Biggest Hit
1. Lindsay Lohan - Mean Girls
Though Lindsay Lohan's highest-grossing movie to date is 2003's Freaky Friday, the film which catapulted her into the pop-culture stratosphere was undeniably Mean Girls the very next year.
Its critical and commercial success made Lohan the "It girl" of 2004, and seemed to suggest a bright future for the rising young actress.
And yet, what followed was a number of underwhelming star vehicles like Herbie: Fully Loaded and Just My Luck.
Then there were the critically dismissed forays into more serious acting with Bobby, Chapter 27, and I Know Who Killed Me, the latter of which scored Lohan two Razzie awards for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple.
Between 2007 and 2014, Lohan received a total of six Razzie nominations, and despite the modest commercial success of films like Machete and Scary Movie V, the quality leading roles had dried up long before those movies were released.
Lohan made a bold attempt to rejuvenate her career with 2013's erotic thriller The Canyons, yet it ultimately released to little interest from, well, anyone.
And despite Lohan starring in a supernatural horror film last year, Among the Shadows, it has just a single review on the Tomatometer almost 18 months after its release. Oof.
