10 Actors Whose Credibility Suffered The Most In 2015

9. Chris Hemsworth

"But Chris Hemsworth was in The Avengers 2!" you cry. "That was one of the biggest movies of the year!" That's totally right, and yet people would have gone to see that movie anyway, regardless of whether Hemsworth had appeared in it or not. Here, we're looking at Hemsworth as a leading man in movies that weren't made by Marvel - and it's safe to say that the results of 2015's filmic efforts have likely worried Thor to his very core. Hemsworth's first flop of 2015 came in the form of Michael Mann's techno thriller Blackhat, in which he failed to entice barely any movie-goers into theatres. It grossed an embarrassing $17 million on a budget of $70 million, calling Hemsworth's drawing power into question. Then came In the Heart Of The Sea, Ron Howard's sea-based blockbuster with Hemsworth in the leading role. Guess what? Like Blackhat, it has emerged a flop. Is it a coincidence that both these movies failed to pull in the punters, or is Chris Hemsworth the toxic element? Whatever the reason, Hollywood will be sure to think again before placing the Australian actor front and centre again. Unless, of course, it's a Thor movie.
