10 Actors Whose Credibility Suffered The Most In 2015

6. George Clooney

It's never a good sign when an actor as big as George Clooney ends up in a flop as huge as Disney's Tomorrowland. Given that he's often perceived to be "the definitive movie star," it must be a real blow to Clooney's credibility to be associated with such a notable failure. What should have been a smash hit wound up bleeding money at the box office - in the wake of last year's Monuments Men, a misfire of a film if ever there was one, Clooney must be wondering what happened to his sure-footing (and his audience appeal): Tomorrowland, directed by the talented Brad Bird, pulled in just $190 million on a budget of $201 million, and was Disney's biggest flop in two years. It received mixed reviews from the critics. Granted, Tomorrowland was the actor's only major film release in 2015, but that kind of makes its massive failure even worse: he had all his eggs in one basket, so to speak. Thankfully Hail, Caesar!, the Coen Brothers' next film, due for a release in 2016, is set to bring some of that old-fashioned Clooney magic back to the big screen. He needs it.
