10 Actors You Won't Believe Have Never Been Nominated For An Oscar

10. Mia Farrow

Mia Farrow has turned in several mesmerising performances throughout her career but has criminally never been nominated for an Oscar. When she was cast in 1968's Rosemary's Baby, she was known primarily for her marriage to Frank Sinatra and her TV work, but imbued the role with a fragility which somehow also anchors the film. Her later work in several Woody Allen movies was similarly unrecognised at the Academy, although she has been nominated eight times at the Golden Globes after winning the award for Most Promising Newcomer in 1965. Today, Farrow focuses on her humanitarian work and she has been in semi-retirement for the last decade. Cate Blanchett is likely to win Best Actress for Allen's Blue Jasmine this year, but spare a moment's outrage for Farrow, who should have been afforded the same honour over thirty years ago.
