10 Actors You Won't Believe Have Never Been Nominated For An Oscar
7. Steve Buscemi
Steve Buscemi is one of the most eminent modern character actors, and yet his work has somehow slipped under the radar of the Academy. Like Martin Sheen, he has been rewarded with Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe for his work in television as the star of the critically adored HBO drama Boardwalk Empire, but the myriad of quirky and memorable film roles which make up the bulk of his filmography all went by without Oscar nods. Buscemi was most likely to be recognised for his more mainstream roles in Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992), 1996's Fargo and later in Ghost World (2001), but no Oscar nominations were forthcoming. In the last five years, he has opted for voice acting roles and to appear in more experimental films, which sadly ensures that the Academy won't be tipping him for awards in the near future.
