10 Actors You Won't Believe Have Never Been Nominated For An Oscar

4. Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey's manic onscreen persona can be repetitive, but when he tones it down for more thoughtful films, he is an effective and charismatic leading man. He won the Golden Globe (Motion Picture Drama) for his tour de force in the satire The Truman Show (1998), but he has turned in several performances which would have been equally worthy of an Oscar nomination. What about his eerie portrayal of Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon (1999)? No Oscar nod there. The Academy didn't reward his atypically shy romantic turn in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) or his poignant performance in I Love You Philip Morris (2009) either. Despite over fifteen years of evidence that Jim Carrey can excel in Oscar-friendly fare, he's yet to get the credit.
