10 Actors You Didn't Know Were Coming Back For Movie Sequels
1. Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, And Dan Aykroyd - Ghostbusters Afterlife
Given the, er, divisive reaction to A Simple Favour director Paul Feig's flopped Ghostbusters reboot in 2016, it should come as no surprise that the original film's cast weren't in any rush to confirm their involvement in Thank You For Smoking director Jason Reitman's upcoming reboot of the franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
However after over a year of denying their involvement, it's since been confirmed that the surviving trio of Ghostbusters from the original eighties quartet will return to their roles in this Paul Rudd-starring comedy horror from the original director Ivan Reitman's son.
Whilst comedy legend Harold Ramis has unfortunately passed on, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Bill Murray have said they will be appearing in the reboot alongside Stranger Things star Finn Woolfhard (eighties nostalgia all round), fitting the filmmaker's stated intention of building on the existing mythos rather than rewriting the continuity.
Wonder will there be any cameos for the 2016 stars?
