10 Adam Sandler Films That Actually Didn't Suck

1. Punch-Drunk Love

punch6 I know I previously said this list wasn€™t in any coherent order but I am placing Punch-Drunk Love number 1 as it is Sandler€™s greatest starring role. Directed by one of the most talented working Directors today in Paul Thomas Anderson this film takes the usual Sandler romantic comedy antics and twists them into a story where Sandler is far away from his comfort zone. More of a romantic drama Sandler plays an introverted and depressed social outcast. Mentally abused and manipulated by his sisters, Sandler find himself nigh incapable of falling in love until he meets an English woman that changes his world. This is not your typical standard cliché Sandler romance. Similar to Reign Over Me, this film features Sandler like you have never seen him before. Philip Seymour Hoffman also has a supporting role playing an extortionist. Free from juvenile antics, this is a marvelous work of filmmaking from everyone involved about conquering demons and destroying down walls impeding true love. Punch_Drunk Love is majestic and arresting. In a more pertinent summarization, Punch-Drunk Love is the film of Sandler€™s career and proves that he can act his ass off, he just unfortunately does not want too. There you have it! A varied selection of 10 Adam Sandler films that contrary to his work today, do not suck. Do you agree with the selections? Maybe you think something doesn't belong? Will Sandler ever appear in good movies again? Let us know in the comments below!
