10 Alternative Films That Show The Real High School

7. St. Trinian's

Ealing StudiosEaling StudiosSt. Trinian's makes this list for several reasons. Partly because Gemma Arterton in a pencil skirt is a truly wonderful sight to behold; partly because Rupert Everett plays both a brother and sister with beautifully farcical flair; and partly because it€™s damn funny. The school of St. Trinian's is on the verge of being shut down, so its not-so-refined pupils decide that an art heist is the perfect way to resolve its financial problems. The film boasts a wealth of famous faces: we€™ve got the British classics like Stephen Fry, Colin Firth, Celia Imrie, and Rupert Everett, along with Lena Headey (in a vast departure from Cersei Lannister), Lily Cole, Russell Brand, and even Mischa Barton (not forgetting Girls Aloud in the school band at the end). Forget what the critics say, this film is GOLD. St. Trinian's is the high school that every girl would be proud to attend. Hockey games make much more sense when you can beat the crap out of the up-herself bitch from the ladies college, and art class is much improved with some Damien Hirst inspiration. Add a drunk Colin Firth (spoiler!) making out with Rupert Everett in drag and, to be honest, you don€™t really need a plot. St. Trinian's is silly, dirty, and hilarious, and the high school film we should all aspire to.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
